Costa Rica Part II

I have had the amazing opportunity and priviledge to come to Costa Rica this summer with some of our graduate students studying educational psychology. We found ourselves this week on the southern tip (Osa peninsula) spending the week in some of the most remote, untouched rain forest on the globe. Yes, it's hot/humid, there are many snakes/lizards, bugs the size of rodents (e.g., roaches about 5 inches long [FYI...Jen]), various monkeys, mosquitos, lots of rain and mud (duh) and some of the most beautiful flowers, birds, and vistas to be seen. And, like Jamaica, there are stunning reminders of the reality of poverty, illiteracy and social injustice we in the US rarely see (or would want to). There is much to learn here. Mucho bueno pictures rapido.

Too much information, Terrill. : ) Just check that suitcase Leigh borrowed from us before you leave. I don't want to find any hitchhikers when you get back.
