Some good signs
With the exception of two bouts of vomiting, Paul had a good night. There was no fever, and still the cultures are negative. I'm starting to think the infection is gone, but I don't want to jinx it. The jinx is an advanced medical phenomenon that is not yet well understood but a potent treatment variable nevertheless. Anyhow, I was successful in luring Paul out of the room for about 30mins today by telling him that there were a bunch of new Hotwheels in the playroom (which is true), and that we could walk out to the Wishing Well to see if there were any coins around (which there were...about 40 cents worth - which raises the issue of whether you decrease the probability of getting your wish if your coin doesn't actually go in the well. Hmmm.) Paul's stomach issues seem to be slightly improved over yesterday, and we are trying out a variety of different GI-related drugs to see what might help. Counts also took a big leap overnight. So, again we await Paul feeling better to get our ticket out of here. Thanks for your prayers as always. And, thanks for the "yard crew" today. You guys are the best. (-: Gotta run...Nacho Libre is coming on.
