CT Clear, but a Positive Culture
I'll go ahead and post this tonight for all you faithful late night trollers...
The CT has not changed from the last one a couple of weeks ago, so there is apparently nothing going on that could be blamed on tumor mass or intestinal blockage etc. This is good. However, a blood culture is validating that Paul has an infection. Some nasty "Gram negative" bacteria are floating around in his body, but will soon be blasted with some antibiotics. The plan is to treat with strong antibiotics and get him on his feet again. We are done with this cycle of chemo since more of it would just make him more susceptible to infection with compromised immunity. Hopefully Paul will weather this storm, and we'll get him home soon. I know you are praying. (-;

Glad the CT was clear and you found a cause for the distress. Hopefully those antibiotics will kick in very soon and provide some relief.
