Monday Update #1... Bright and Early!
The day started around 6 this morning (that's 5 Waco time!). Paul woke up giggling and happy. Praise the LORD! Terrill called at 7:30 to report that everything was progressing on schedule. They had taken Paul to do his bone marrow aspirate and had let Terrill stay with him until he was completely sedated (this is a big deal for Paul and some doctors won't do it, so we are very grateful). So far, he is very impressed with the hospital and with Dr. Sholler. He even met the dad of another Nifurtimox patient... lots of information sharing will be taking place, I'm sure.
It looks like they'll be in clinic most of the day, starting the pills and then hanging around for blood work, etc. According to Terrill, they'll have plenty of fun things to do, as the clinic is well-stocked for kids.
Thanks for persevering with us and for praying your hearts out!
