Positive about Being Negative

Paul is still hanging out in the "Get Well Jail." What we are waiting, hoping, and praying for is a negative blood culture (for infection). I'm feeling fairly positive about getting one in the next round of labs (tomorrow AM) because Paul has improved drastically with respect to fever, chills, etc. He is still dealing with nausea, but that seems best explained as post-chemo stuff. Anyhow, IF this infection does not clear up soon, it's going to start making his port line look suspect, and I think the threshold for taking it out and replacing it would be very low. We DON'T want to go down that path since it would mean more hospital time, minor surgery, etc. Not to mention the fact that it would really mess up any plans we had for Thanksgiving. Please pray that we can conquer this infection and get on the road soon.
