Monday update #2 - Better than Expected!

Well, it sounds like things have gone remarkably well in VT so far. The guys finished up with an EKG around 1, and now they are back in the RM house hanging out in the TV room. It sounds like other than pain from the bone marrow apsirate this morning, Paul is feeling pretty good. Terrill said that the doctors and nurses have been efficient and extremely kind. One of the child life workers even made a special trip to... you guessed it... Burger King to get Paul some.... you guessed it... french fries!!!

Even better: two days of nothing but PLAY! They don't have to go back to the clinic until Thursday, so they are loaded up with free passes to the local museum and a host of suggestions for other things to do in the area. This is such an answer to prayer for me. I literally wanted Paul to feel like he was taking a vacation with Dad, and it looks like they will definitely get to experience some Kodak moments!

In case you were wondering... Vermont is experiencing unseasonably warm weather this week. It's a blazing 40 degrees (which sounds like the antarctic to me, but is apparently pretty "balmy" compared to the usual 6 below!!)

I can't say it enough... THANK YOU for caring and praying.

Thanks for the updates, Leigh. Thank you Lord for some 'fun' times for Paul. Our kids pray for Paul's healing every night and your family is continually being lifted before the throne -- we love you all. The Upchurchs

Leigh, I, too,say thanks for the updates today. I know it is difficult for you to be the parent staying home, but thankful Paul and Dad can have some good time together, and you can have special time with your other 2 precious sons. You continue to inspire me daily. I pray that all will continue to go well this week and that you can all be home for your family to celebrate the Birthday of our Savior. Love, Sharon
