Port Procedure Update

Terrill is still in the waiting room while Paul is sedated. The procedure started at around 1:30 or so, then the doc came in and told Terrill about a minor complication. It seems that the port is brittle from being old. While they were taking it out, a piece broke off and got into his blood stream and worked its way into Paul's heart. The doc explained that while this sounds really bad, it is not unheard of. He had called the heart specialist who would join them in the O.R. At this time they are running a line up to Paul's heart to remove the port debris. Leigh is on her way up to the hospital--she was going there anyway today to switch off--so they will both be there together to hear the doc's report coming out of the procedure. Just wanted to encourage everyone to pray for the rest of this process to go well today, and for Paul's quick recovery when it's done. Let's keep seeking the Lord on their behalf.
