Muy Bueno

Jack and I returned from Costa Rica today. We covered a lot of ground (and rainforests) in our two weeks there. I will be creating a video of our many excursions in the coming days. For now, here is a picture or two as well as a short video of the craziest Costa Rican I have met yet.

Jack update

I haven't posted any Jack news recently, so here goes. He's done very well in school this year. He won the top math competition for his grade on some national test; we found out about it when we found a certificate among his things. He decided he would try football next year when he starts 7th grade; I explained that in TX, football is a lifestyle and not a hobby, but he insists. So, we'll see how it goes starting in June when his coaches want him "..in the fieldhouse lifting weights and practicing agility 2 hours a day..." (my coaches used the same script when I played 30 something years ago).

Jack will go with me this summer to Costa Rica when I teach a minimester there. It should be interesting for him and help keep me from getting too homesick.
